Introduction of the DX-D 500n* and DX-D 300 DR* systems in North America
As a highlight of the show, Agfa HealthCare will introduce its DX-D 500n DR system and the DX-D 300 DR system in North America. In combination with Agfa HealthCare's CR systems, the DX-D 500n and DX-D 300 systems have been tailored to match the entire spectrum of general radiology exams.
As the only imaging company today to offer needle quality in both its DR and CR detectors, choosing the Agfa HealthCare DX-D and CR systems will provide facilities excellent imaging systems in your drive for clinical excellence. The DX-D solutions are delivering almost real-time previews and very fast cycle times, providing high productivity combined with improved patient comfort and superior efficiency in the radiography department.
Our solutions offer radiologists consistent image quality and the potential for dose reduction. The DX-D solutions also enable streamlined working procedures through the combined capabilities of the NX user station and MUSICA2 image processing, as well as a unified look and feel for both DR and CR exams.
We will also display the company's ceiling/wall mounted DX-D 500n and the DX-D 300 flexible single detector U-arm system.

Global introduction of DX-G, a next-generation flexible CR system
Another highlight at RSNA 2009 will be the global launch of a next generation CR system with unprecedented flexibility for general radiography, the DX-G.
The DX-G supports general radiology, extremities, neonatal and pediatric applications with the flexibility of handling both standard phosphor imaging plates and needle based detectors. The system's high image quality offers the potential for dose reduction.
The DX-G also combines excellent imaging quality with high throughput delivered by a unique five cassette drop-and-go buffer for seamless workflow. The solution is housed in a single compact system comprising the top features of already proven Agfa HealthCare CR systems.
The DX-G's small footprint allows it to be placed easily inside the X-ray room or within the X-ray ward, where it can be slotted into small spaces.
CR and hardcopy solutions tailored to match a variety of needs
At RSNA 2009, Agfa HealthCare will re-introduce radiologists to its dedicated digital CR system for smaller facilities - the CR 30-X system and the SE image management suite.
• A compact and convenient CR solution, the CR 30-X is easy to install, use and maintain and provides seamless integration, from X-ray exposure to print or softcopy.
• The SE Image Management Suite provides comprehensive archiving and distribution combined with integral viewing functionality for managing image data in a computed radiography (CR) environment.
Also on display are solutions for pediatrics and neonatal exams and for digital mammography.*
All solutions are offered with high quality DRYSTAR hardcopy imager systems based on the Direct Digital Imaging technology of Agfa HealthCare enhanced with A#Sharp technology resulting in simple, compact and reliable systems with daylight film handling.

Image Enable the EHR with IMPAX Data Center
IMPAX Data Center serves a key role in creating a longitudinal image-enabled Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or regional Electronic Health Record (EHR), bringing the last major information space - imaging - into a unified, tightly integrated and centrally managed system.
Agfa HealthCare's IMPAX Data Center provides large-scale multimedia storage for all types of standards-based DICOM 3.0 medical images and diagnostic results for hospital groups, regional healthcare organizations and national medical archives. The solution consolidates imaging data from disparate systems into a single point of storage and distribution via the EHR, to help improve and speed decision-making.
Through enterprise-wide and vendor-neutral image management services, Agfa HealthCare gives diagnosticians the freedom to select tools and offers clinicians comprehensive, 24/7 access to images and results and enhance image-focused communications among interdisciplinary care teams.
IMPAX Mobility* Enterprise Visualization - IMPAX Mobility is Agfa HealthCare's enterprise clinical imaging visualization system built for true ubiquitous access to a patient's longitudinal imaging record held in IMPAX Data Center. IMPAX Mobility is easily integrated with the EMR, providing seamless user access from the patient clinical record to the patient clinical imaging record.
IMPAX Data Center Viewer, powered by XERO - A work-inprogress viewer technology that will address one of the most common issues facing healthcare providers today: the task of delivering images and information to caregivers across a wide range of technical and physical barriers.
IMPAX Data Center Viewer, powered by XERO, is a zero-download medical imaging viewer developed to provide access to imaging information for clinicians at any point of care regardless of network constraints and/or the wide variance of platforms and administrative rules that can be so problematic for typical viewers.
IMPAX 6 enhancements

IMPAX for Digital Mammography
IMPAX for Digital Mammography is a powerful diagnostic tool that facilitates the reporting workflow in a digital mammography environment. Within both screening and diagnostic imaging environments, this DICOM-compliant diagnostic review station allows clinicians to work with relevant patient images within one display station. This includes all breast imaging modalities, as well as other diagnostic imaging studies.
IMPAX for Digital Mammography incorporates a data management system that automatically routes relevant data (for example, Breast US, digital mammography, Breast MR) based on a variety of user-definable criteria including modality, patient, and referring physician. Relevant prior exams can be pre-fetched from the archive management system and sent automatically to the diagnostic review station. When available, radiology results from the Radiology Information Systems (RIS) can also be displayed simultaneously.
IMPAX Cardiovascular
Supporting good clinical practice in imaging and reporting, IMPAX Cardiovascular can help deliver enhanced heart and vascular diagnostics and documentation.
At RSNA 2009, clinicians will view the solution's support for diagnostic and interventional workflow. Designed to enrich the physician experience with medical images, full fidelity final reports and graphs, and resting and stress ECG, IMPAX Cardiovascular delivers innovative features, including advanced image management functionalities, structured reporting, and secure enterprise-wide access to diagnostic data.
